Abstract
It is considered at present that the portraits of two brothers in the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna painted by Van Dyck represent the marquises of Lanzo and Borgomanero. We refute this identification and we propose a new one with the help of unpublished archival documentation, which demonstrates that they are Juan and Pedro van Vucht, the sons of the Flemish merchant of Madrid Jan van Vucht.
