Abstract
In this paper, Johannes de Lairesse is identified as the author of an Allegory of Drawing which was previously catalogued as a work of his father, Gérard de Lairesse. It’s complex iconography, also mistaken with Achilles recognised among the Daughters of Lycomedes, is here clarified.References
