   The knowledge of Flemish painting is extraordinarily enriched by the work of Professor Matías Díaz Padrón. This paper makes a brief review of his fundamental contributions and outlines some notes on his methodology as a researcher. It ends with a bibliography classified by the main fields of study that he covered.
